Treatment Philosophy:
My treatment philosophy is centered around a conservative approach, where I prioritize listening closely to pet owners about the symptoms they observe in their animals. This valuable input helps guide me in forming the most likely diagnosis through careful analysis of the information provided. I believe in considering not only the medical needs of the pet but also the expectations and budget of the client when discussing treatment options. By balancing these factors, I aim to provide effective, personalized care that aligns with both the pet’s well-being and the owner’s preferences.

Dr. Ichord has a particular interest in orthopedics as so many of his patients are confronted with lameness at some point in their active lives. Dr. Ichord is a very skilled surgeon and is adept at simple surgeries like neuters as well as more nuanced surgeries like large mass removals or enucleations. Because Dr. Ichord is a private practitioner, he is able to keep his surgery costs down considerably when compared to local corporate/specialty hospitals.
