History
Established in 1974.
San Marcos Veterinary Clinic was originally established in 1974 by Dr. Gary F. Smalley. Dr. Smalley recently retired and sold the practice to Dr. Andy Ichord. Both are graduates of the prestigious veterinary school at U.C. Davis in northern California. This practice has been in the same location, the San Marcos Village shopping center, since it’s founding and is dedicated to providing compassionate care to animals of all types. Dr. Ichord is focused on maintaining the small-town, family feel of the clinic started by Dr. Smalley, but to improve efficiency and communication by updating the practice with new hardware and software. The San Marcos Veterinary Clinic is dedicated to providing the best of both worlds – the modernity of a digital hospital but the coziness of a small family clinic.
